A case of Legionnaires disease has been confirmed in Gloucestershire. An in patient at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital has been struck down with the disease, according to the local NHS Trust.

The agenda of Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust board states it could not exclude the patient having picked up the disease in hospital, but gave no further details. A Trust investigation is ongoing and the Health and Safety Executive has also launched its own investigation.
