An Essex hospital is to be prosecuted for allegedly failing to protect the public from the cause of Legionnaire's disease.
The disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia caused by the legionella bacteria.

Quebec legionnaires' outbreak source found
Quebec City public health officials say they've found the likely source of the outbreak of legionnaires' disease that has killed 13 people and made nearly 170 others ill since July.
The five-storey building, in the provincial capital's St. Roch neighbourhood, is known as Complexe Jacques Cartier and houses offices for the Centrale des syndicats du Québec, the province's third-largest labour federation.

The third person to have died after contracting Legionnaires’ disease from the JW Marriott hotel in Chicago was an Irish national visiting the city to celebrate his 40th wedding anniversary.
According to Irish newspaper Independent.ie, Thomas Keane, a 66-year-old retired plumber from Limerick, had traveled to Chicago with his wife Olive.
